Matoa was the typical Papua crop, including in the family Sapindaceae. The tree matoa could grow high and had quite hard wood. His fruity flavour was the mixture between the rambutan, the durian, and longans. Him have the shape of oval and a measurement betel nuts (the Palm family), when young was green and after ripe was green yellowish.These plants were the flora of the identity of the West Papua Province.

This crop was easy to be increased bred through the seed, and the other method like cangkok as well as okulation. Matoa grew in the cool area or in other words more was easy to grow in the area of the plateau, despite also could grow in the plain.
